Position Summary

Reporting to the Site Manager or designee, the Kitchen Aide is a key member of St. Elizabeth Adult Day Care team. : We currently have an opening at our Saint Louis Center. Hours range from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Kitchen Aide will assist the Site Manager in meal preparation. - Is a aware of the Participants special dietary needs. - Makes and serves breakfast and afternoon snack. - Coordinates and Prepares a hot lunch. - Set and clears the Tables. -Cleans the Dishes and all serving utensils. -Helps to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room - Helps to maintain food inventory and develops shopping list. -Maintains inventory paperwork as directed by the site manager- Always shows the participants respect. -Assist in transporting participants to dining areas-Assist participants in eating-Attends in-services, quarterly dietician meetings and trainings as directed by management-Keep the site managers informed of of all activity and Situations.

Qualifications

  • Must have your Safe-Serv certification
  • At least one year of food prep in a care center environment.
  • Must be willing to get or have had a Hep A vaccine.
  • Must be able to bend and stand for periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Must have respect for our participants needs and the willingness to perform duties needed to meet their dietary and care plans.
  • Suitable documentation for education, experience, training or proficiencies.
  • Meets the conditions for employment for the State of Missouri and SEADCC.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

All employees are required to be vaccinated and any exempt employee is required to test bi-weekly at the employees cost.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
