Job Description for Kennel Technician
Kennel Technicians oversee the animals and kennels at our facility. Kennel Technicians clean and maintain the kennels, giving pets their food and medications, and providing bathing services.
Responsibilities
- Keeping runs and cages clean throughout the shift
- Feeding pets according to owner instructions
- Keeping water bowls full
- Appropriately medicating pets
- Following laundry procedures
- Keeping facility floors and yards clean
- Supervising dogs properly when outside
- Bathing animals as instructed
- Ensuring proper pet identification is in place
- Documenting care appropriately
- Following safety procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· Experience providing animal care preferred
· Must be compassionate for animals and self-motivated with a positive attitude
