Description: AZPetVet is seeking a Kennel Technician to join our team!
We are a growing family of animal hospitals with locations throughout the Greater Phoenix area. In 1984, the first practice (Arrow Animal Hospital) opened in the Glendale area. Today, that practice has grown to a family of 22 collaborative hospitals built upon the principle of outstanding patient care and client service.
The Kennel Technician takes care of dogs and cats, and at times, other domestic animals. General welfare of pets at the hospitals may include cleaning areas where pets are housed, feeding pets, and taking them for walks to relieve themselves. Much of the job involves cleaning kennels and various other areas of the interior and exterior of hospitals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- General duties include keeping kennel clean and sanitized.
- Cleaning of all areas of the hospital, including some exterior locations may be required.
- Walking, feeding, and picking up after animals.
- Kennel Attendant should report any changes to a pet’s condition to their Supervisor or anyone in the hospital who can assist.
- This role may also help in other areas of the hospital like stocking supplies, or other duties their Supervisor deems fit to perform.
Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Communicate with staff and leadership.
- Ability to clean and handle pets.
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires the ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The role will also require walking, use of hands and fingers, reaching, hunching over pets, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and crawling.
- Pushing and pulling of cleaning equipment is necessary.
- The employee must frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds.
- You must request assistance for help lifting pets in excess of 40 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.15 - $14.65 per hour
