Kennel Attendant Job at Valley Veterinary Hospital
Responsibilities
Pet Care Attendants provide care for the dogs and cats through interaction and maintaining a healthy, safe and clean environment for the animals while under the direction of the hospital manager, doctors, and technical team
Qualifications
Ability to clean dog runs/cages and cat cages
Ability to feed pets in the kennel
Ability to maintain the overall cleanliness of the hospital
- Ability to aid the technician and Doctors with patients ( dogs/cats) as needed, e.g. restraint for blood drawing/ exams, etc
Ability to read and interpret documents efficiently, as well as an ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees in both written and verbal formats
Basic mathematical skills
- Availability to work Holidays and the occasional weekend
Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of shift, as well as bend and kneel regularly
Ability to push/pull 50 lbs regularly (by walking strong dogs)
Morning Shift is 7:30 to 11 am Monday through Friday
Afternoon shift is 2:30-6pm Monday through Friday.
We are hiring for either position at this time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
