Kennel Assistant Job at Daniel Overmeyer Veterinary Center
Seeking a part-time Kennel Assistant. This position requires Monday-Sunday evening shift availability. Hours: Weekdays 4pm-8pm. Weekends: 12noon-4pm and 4pm-8pm. Candidate must be at least 18 years old, be punctual, responsible, able to work indepenently and have a strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
The purpose of this position is to provide care for boarding and hospitalized pets as well as cleaning the hospital facility. This includes feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing, medicating and monitoring the well-being of dogs, cats and other small pets.
We are looking for someone that is:

- Works independently and on a team
- Is a quick learner
Duties are not limited to:
- Care and upkeep of dogs, cats and other domestic animals
- Keeping cages/kennels clean and sanitized
- Walking pets
- Feeding and providing water for pets
- Medicating pets (orally) per protocol with Veterinarian/Technician
- Reporting animals health conditions/concerns to Veterinarian/Technician
- Verbal and written documentation/communication with Veterinarian/Technician
- Assisting Veterinarian/Technician and other staff members
- Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises
- Restocking supplies
- Laundry
- Outdoor feces patrol/clean-up
