Description
SAIC is seeking a Junior Level Sustainment Test Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. SAIC supports the US Space Force’s military satellite ground and space communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY: Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Motivated to learn and employ DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
- Motivated to work with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
- Ability to learn MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting
- Ability to learn and employ handling procedures for Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and devices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- Entry Level candidate with no experience who is clearable and a fast learner
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:
- International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
- Familiarity with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation, Operational Test (OT) experience supporting a DoD Test Agency/Organization
- Familiarity working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
- Knowledge of DoD system sustainment mission
- Familiarity with MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with handling Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and devices
- Experience operating or maintaining the following: FAB-T, AFCPT, TDSPP, MMS, GMT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, ANDVT, KGV-11, KG-250), or related infrastructure and/or support equipment
Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
