Custom Home and Cabinetry Jr. Designer

Gulfshore Development is seeking a Junior Designer for Residential Custom Home Design. This position will require a creative design aesthetic as well as a willingness to work with a team. The candidate should be reliable and demonstrate dependability, have a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with clients and project team members. This position requires great attention to detail and thorough knowledge of Sketchup and Layout.

Qualifications:

• Proven Experience using Sketchup and Layout to prepare Blueprints
• Proficient in Computer Automated Drafting.
• Communicate with Senior Designer as well as clients as to project status drafting status and perform minor changes
• Build relationships and promote sales for the company.
• Understand the construction process and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• After Client’s approval of the floor plan and 3D elevation renderings, complete a full set of blueprints for bidding purposes.
• Establish consistent blueprint details and catalog for future use
• Coordinate customer requested changes from contract execution prior to permitting
• Complete Engineers Mark Ups for permit submission
• Coordinate with the Permitting Department to complete permit rejections and revisions
• Ensure plans are returned for permitting in a timely manner

Experience:

• Proficient use of computer automated drafting programs with Sketchup being preferred
• Design process and graphics familiarity.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in such a manner that clients feel their home design needs/wants are being met.

Job Type: Onsite with work from home available after probationary period

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
