Junior Accountant Job at Progressive Dental Marketing
*This is not a remote position
SUMMARY
Compiles, processes and maintains accurate accounting records for a Progressive Dental sister company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews, codes and enters all accounts payable invoices in Bill.com.
- Maintains accurate account payable files and historical information.
- Ensure confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information.
- Reviews, codes and enters all bank and credit card information in Quickbooks Online
DUTIES AND TASKS
- Ensure proper department/GL coding for all AP transactions
- Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Monitor accounts to make sure all payments are up to date and invoices have been received
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external vendors
- Process/review employee expenses ensuring policy compliance
- Process check requests; verify proper approvals are obtained
- Process weekly check run
- Prepare and process electronic payments
- Update and maintain vendor database
- Obtain Form W9 for all vendors
- Manage company Purchase Orders
- Reconcile vendor and credit card statements
- Ability to process and follow-up on rush items
- Maintain accurate account payable files and historical information
- Monthly reporting; assist with month end closing
- Special projects or other related tasks and duties as assigned or requested
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
