Design plays a key role in keeping the North Sails brand, on-trend and consistent.

The Junior Graphic Designer will provide experience and expertise in graphic design with an emphasis (and passion) on marketing. The Junior Graphic Designer will be tasked with assisting in many creative projects, including the creation of local and global advertisements, social media visuals, web graphics, promotional materials, presentations, and ideation & creation of marketing and support materials used for global campaigns and events. Our Junior Graphic Designer will serve as the local/regional graphics expert within a global marketing team, reporting to our Global Creative Services Director. This role requires leadership and the ability to work with various departments within North Sails and outside vendors when necessary.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the marketing team with the creation of shareable assets that are on-brand across many marketing channels.
  • Work with our core marketing team to create shareable assets that meet the vision of the campaign and messaging.
  • Work with the social media team to create graphics for our various social media properties.
  • Create physical and digital materials that are consistent with brand standards.
  • Assist in the production of promotional materials for campaigns and events.
  • Work with the marketing team to implement best practices for graphic resources.
  • Edit photography in Photoshop and color correct in Lightroom.
  • Works on design and content creation projects as requested.
  • Regular and predictable physical presence and attendance at the worksite is required to interact with management and team members
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities, as assigned or requested, by direct supervisors, Global Marketing Manager, or assigned manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (CC) including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, XD and Figma.
  • Foundation in design theory, visual hierarchy, and typography.
  • Previous experience with email and digital design.
  • 1-2 years recent experience in marketing, agency, or e-commerce.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a campaign or brand style with ease.
  • Work and thrive in an environment with constructive critique from stakeholders within the team and organization.
  • Self-starter who can react and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willingness to have flexible working hours to accommodate a global network of locations.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • Work-related travel may be required.
