The Journeyman Roofer is a qualified installer of all certified manufacturer roof systems.

Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works as directed in a safe and efficient manner per industry standards and regulations.
Meets with Foreman to go over specific job requirements.
Knows the system thoroughly, including details, application and processes.
Takes periodic inventory of materials during construction and notifies foreman, with enough lead time to make a make-up order.
Communicates effectively with Foreman.
Consults with Foreman on issues with crew members concerning issues of misbehavior or other inappropriate behavior that could compromise safety, or the integrity of others employees and Kodiak.
Ensures proper care when in the use of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety practices.
Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

Education and/or Experience: Must have experience installing roofing systems and siding.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Knowledge of Internet and email
