Journeyman Electrician Job at Fargo Public Schools
- Maintains and repairs electrical devices including switches, outlets, conductors, lights, electrical panels, motors, transformers, and disconnecting devices.
- Installs and maintains security, access control, fire alarms, telephone, data, panic, aiphone, sensaphone, and camera systems.
- Makes repairs to District equipment/property in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performs work at elevated heights while working in bucket truck or manlift platform equipment.
- Substitutes for other district maintenance employees when needed.
- Participates in general staff meetings.
- Participates in all mandatory training appropriate to the position as required by the district.
- High school diploma or GED
- Vocational degree in Electrical Technology
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- ND Divers License or ability to obtain; must have and maintain insurability with the District’s insurance carrier
- Journey Licensed Electrician in the State of North Dakota and the ability to obtain a Minnesota Journeyman Electrical License

Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the safe operating condition of the district’s electrical systems. This position is also a member of the 24 hour on-call rotation for the District.

Minimum Qualifications
Salary: Group 10 $26.83 - $32.59 DOE
Term: 12 month position
