C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, material handling and power sports locations, has an opening for a Shop Foreman at its John Deere Dealership in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Responsibilities:

  • Assigns and provides work direction to employees in the Service Department.
  • Advises and recommends changes and improvements regarding Service Department processes to the Service Manager
  • Assists in the processing of repair and warranty work
  • May act as Service Manager in Service Manager’s absence
  • Assigns jobs and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge
  • Arranges for and participates in re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment
  • Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials and labor
  • Approves the release of equipment for delivery to the customer
  • Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems with technicians and apprentices and provides

instruction as required

  • Works with the Service Manager in all aspects of the Service Department in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Service Manager (may fill the Service Manager's role in their absence)
  • Coordinates and schedules all in-house technician training
  • Promotes customer loyalty, goodwill and protects dealerships image
  • Assists in the appraisal of repair work coming into the Service Department and participates in repairs
  • Advises Service Manager of all customer complaints.
  • Reviews department performance and personnel matters with Service Manager on a regular basis

Education
Required

  • High School or better

Preferred

  • Technical/other training or better in Diesel Technology or related field

Licenses & Certifications
Required

  • Valid Drivers License
