A Shop Foreman plays a key part in a successful shop to maintain quality of work in an efficient manner by assisting both the technicians and service management team as well as interacting with customers as needed.

Position Summary:

The Colby, KS location of American Implement is seeking out a positive, talented individual who is self-motivated who can help technicians with diagnostics and repairs as well as aid in supervisory and managerial responsibilities within an agricultural equipment service department. Having experience in repair, diagnostic processes, and maintenance of agricultural equipment as well as prior supervisory and management experience will be essential knowledge for this individual to be successful. Ultimately this individual will keep service jobs flowing quickly and efficiently through the shop by collaborating with technicians, service management team, other departments at the location as well as customers.

Responsibilities:

- Assign work orders appropriately to service technicians

- Monitor technician productivity and work efficiency

- Ensure work orders are completed quickly and correctly

- Assist technicians in diagnostics processes if needed

- Communicate job updates between technicians, service management team and customers

Qualifications:

- Three to five years of experience in maintenance and repair work of agricultural equipment

- Prior supervisory and management experience

- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Computer skills

- Experience with diagnostics equipment
