JJYS Technician II - Cedar City

  • Short- and long-term secure confinement
  • Multi-use facilities
  • Community-based programs.

Principal Duties
  • Oversee and work closely with high risk/violent youth offenders.
  • Monitor visitors & residents within the facility.
  • Schedule and coordinate activities for the youth
  • Assist the Control Supervisor by making perimeter checks.
  • Resolves potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, clients, and or the public by applying appropriate intervention techniques to people, facilities and property.
  • Pass the Integrated Crisis Response (ICR) intervention program within 90 days of employment.
  • Practice "Standards of Care" and supervision of delinquent youth
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing (read and understand information presented in writing)
  • Write correspondence, reports, documents and other written materials.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who is available to work rotating shifts, which include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Preference
May be given to candidates 19+ years of age
May be given to candidates who have a high school diploma or GED
