· The Sr Architect/Engineering Lead is a senior level position and will own target state architecture as well as principles and standards in alignment with GFT Architecture Practice adhering to Architecture Review Board.

• Lead the Technology architecture, infrastructure, and application design practice; envisioning business purpose, managing risks, interactions with other systems, process efficiency and user-interface design; Develops deep technical understanding of key systems, processes and interdependencies.

• Define and champion alignment with target architecture, principles and standards used across the software engineering team.

• Foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence in architecture across with modern engineering practices, adoption of open source and open standards, and creating a culture of collaboration and efficiency

Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop robust business and technology architecture practices and processes that ensure the consistent Architecture practice across the portfolio.

• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across the organization, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

• Ensure resilience, scale, speed and security of the technical infrastructure

• Establish consistent architectural governance to validate the strategic investments of the technology portfolio towards the agreed target state.

Qualifications:

• 12+ year's senior technology leadership experience in an engineering and/or architecture capacity.

• Strong record of successful architecture and delivery across large scale software engineering programs with a successful track record of executing and delivering results

• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex environment managing global teams

• Hands-on experience in Core Java, Multi-Threading, Spring, hands-on experience in Micro Services, Containerization platform using Docker/Kubernetes

• Hands-on experiences with standard SDLC and Agile processes

• Knowledge of Python/Big Data as well as Spark

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree on Computer Science, Master's degree nice to have

Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
