Jail Technician/ Security Control Operator Job at Elmore County Sheriff's Office
WE ARE HIRING! Elmore County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for Security Control Specialist This is a full-time position located in the Detention Center at the Elmore
County Sheriff’s Office. Major duties and responsibilities of this position:
- Operate and monitor technical audio-visual electronic security consoles;
- Facilitates and visually monitors staff, inmates and visitor movement throughout the facility;
- Operates and monitors telephone and radio equipment;
- Acts as the Incident Command Center during emergencies;
- Reports observed, known, and potential safety hazards, security threats, disturbances, and irregularities;
Applicant must:
- Quickly and objectively analyze changing situations and take appropriate actions,
- Handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Be able to keep and maintain confidentiality;
- Pass a complete background check, polygraph and drug test;
- Follow written and oral instructions.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of computer systems and general office equipment;
- Previous security experience preferred;
- Working knowledge and understanding of security practices and procedures preferred
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Possess valid driver’s license.
Hourly pay is offered at $15.76 per hour plus an exceptional benefits package including: PERSI retirement, excellent medical insurance and vacation/sick/holiday leave.
