POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Works under the general direction of the Collaboration Services Manager to ensure the functionality, stability, security, and expandability of the Authority’s voice architecture which commensurate with the Authority’s goals and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists the Collaboration Services Manager with cost-effective design, component selection and procurement, implementation, maintenance, security, and management of a robust, flexible, and highly available voice and video collaboration environment.

2. Maintain and implement reliability voice and video infrastructure.

3. Create, implement, and maintain VOIP and video best practices.

4. Proactively assists in defining direction for future technology, infrastructure, and architecture.

5. Interface with both internal and external partners to recommend appropriate courses of action with respect to technical and infrastructure issues, as it relates to the collaboration environment.

6. Track projects and prepare schedules which include general progress, technical and service compliance, and problem resolution summaries.

7. Reviews billing information for lease circuits and cellular services.

8. Manage and provides services for Authority issued cellular services.

9. Manage inventory of all voice and video equipment.

10. Manage video server and devices.

11. Document design.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a voice engineer.

2. CCNP Voice certification preferred.

3. Knowledge of networking architectures and protocols.

4. Knowledge of voice and video systems and applications.

5. Knowledge in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco Voice products.

6. Knowledge in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Genetec products.

7. Knowledge of VMware/Virtualization and Windows environment.

8. Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to end users and management.

9. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Pay: From $73,000.00 per year
