Summary:
Reporting to the IT Manager, Infrastructure, the IT Systems Engineer III is responsible for supporting, designing, and architecting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the corporate server, network, and storage environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Installs, designs, architects, configures, and maintains server, and database hardware, operating systems, and software. Includes physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers, storage, databases.
  • Installs, designs, architects, configures, and maintains storage hardware, operating systems, and software.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting of server, network, storage, and database environments.
  • Provides support, troubleshooting, and testing for new application and software releases.
  • Supports system monitoring, performance tuning, and backup / recovery processes and procedures.
  • Interfaces and / or supports the IT Networking Management, IT Service Desk Management, and Security and Compliance teams as necessary.
  • Documents/follows and ensures standardized processes/procedures, IT Security policies, principles, and practices.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.
  • Provides on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis.

  • Advanced experience with firewalls and switching
  • Experience with latest security suites such as Crowdstrike, Sentinel One, Checkpoint, etc.
  • Server
    • Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) hardware, manager
    • VMware 5 – 6.5 ESXi, vCenter, Update Manager, vMotion, VM deployment, standard and distributed switches, datastores
    • Windows 2016-2019 Server OS Administration
    • Windows Active Directory, Group Object Policy (GPO) Administration
    • DNS / DHCP Administration
    • File / Print Server Administration
    • Windows 10/11 Client OS Administration
    • Linux Debian, RHEL, and Ubunto Administration
    • Lync / Skype For Business 2010 - 2015
    • Microsoft Azure Cloud Administration, Azure AD Connect
  • Storage
    • NetApp
    • UCS Fabric Interconnects
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience supporting corporate IT infrastructure.
