IT Service Desk Technician - Full-Time

Description: As a full-time, nonexempt, CPS® IT Service Desk Technician, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all IT related incidents, requests, and questions, virtually, for all CPS employees that work across the country. Primary duties include providing excellent customer service and support via phone, email, chat and desk-side methods in a hybrid AD/Azure environment.

Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Eastern; with rotating afterhours support/on call responsibilities one week out of every seven weeks. On call shifts run weekdays from 6:00pm to 8:00am Eastern Time, and 24/7 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploying new hardware (laptop/monitors/phone/tablet)
  • Deploying software to remote employee via automation tools
  • Troubleshooting user issues in a Windows and Office 365 environment
  • Managing incidents and service requests to ensure resolution/fulfillment is completed within the designated Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Creating and maintaining end-user Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs)
  • Ensuring all user devices are compliant with CPS security and usage policies to include patching and auditing/removal of unauthorized software
  • Managing mobile devices via MDM toolset
  • Deploy and manage corporate print solutions

Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical computer degree, certificate, or related work experience
  • ITIL, A+, MCP, or Microsoft Certifications preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting various versions of Microsoft Office, including Office 365, Azure Active Directory, remote connectivity methodologies, and mobile devices including both iOS and Droid-based smart phones and tablets
  • Experience with deploying new hardware, including (but not limited to) desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, and mobile devices
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint (formally Intune) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and also with remote users
  • Working knowledge of VPN technologies
  • Must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution
