DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Support and develop applications using languages such as: C#, VB.NET, Java, XML/JSON, ASP.NET/MVC, HTML, CSS, XSLT, xQuery, AJAX, SQL and JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular

  • Ability to use tools in our development environment: Visual Studio, Eclipse, Team Foundation Server, SQL Management Studio, DBVisualizer, PuTTY, Fiddler

  • Develop and maintain enterprise applications using specifications and guidance provided by senior developers.

  • Analyze end user requirements and participate with outlining solutions with senior developers and analysts.

  • Support and troubleshoot errors as final level of expertise in any of the company’s applications that the team is responsible for.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned and necessary.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS


Turning analyst's specifications into programming code with limited guidance from senior developers. In addition, be able to perform independent analysis of problems/solutions. Independent decisions are necessary in programming/design.


QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


Skills are obtained through both special courses and on-the-job-training. Requires a minimum two years college education while actively working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Successful completion of at least two classes dedicated to object-oriented application development required. Knowledge of one or more of the following: C#, VB.NET, Java, XML/JSON, ASP.NET/MVC, HTML, CSS, XSLT, xQuery, AJAX, SQL and JavaScript, jQuery Working knowledge of relational databases a plus. Good communication skills required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:


Normal office environment with occasional travel necessary to visit office locations, conferences/training classes and meetings. May occasionally need to lift, hold and carry 20 pounds.


Must be able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals and other documents as required. Excellent telephone, public relations and oral/written communication skills are required. Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Must possess basic skills with computers including experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint and be familiar with typical company web based system applications. Experience using SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse or other comparable IDEs required.


The employee must be able to organize and prioritize work in order to keep projects on schedule and delivered on time. Must have knowledge of office administration procedures and able to operate most standard office equipment. The employee must pay attention to detail in composing and proofing materials. Must be self-motivated with initiative and ability to make decisions and accept responsibility. Be flexible to respond to unexpected situations that require immediate attention.
