The IT/ Data Support Specialist will provide administrative IT support agency wide in the effort of operating, optimizing and maintaining the existing Microsoft 365 and MyCap systems as well as work to incorporate any new M365/ MyCap services utilized by NEKCA. The ideal candidate is someone who acquires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as has strong technical assistance/ data management experience, with a can-do attitude, who is a team player, creative, a collaborator and someone who will go out of their way to find solutions to problems.

B. Essential Functions:

IT Support

  • Work with the Director of Finance in a supportive role to assist in the management of the M365 system utilized by NEKCA. This may include, but is not limited Teams, Outlook and OneDrive.
  • Use judgment, critical thinking, technical expertise and troubleshooting skills to diagnose end-user incidents to restore services or provide solutions
  • Respond and work on tickets regarding Microsoft 365 platforms, in order of level of need.
  • Provide end user training, guidance, and assistance.
  • Educates employees on IT services and processes, including appropriate paths to engage IT for support
  • Analyze incidents, problems, and requests to identify trends and solutions
  • Maintain equipment listing for all electronic devices and track assignments, as well as replacement dates

Data Support

  • Work with the Director of Development in a supportive role to assist in the management of the MyCap data management system utilized by NEKCA. This may include, but is not limited to pulling reports, building system pathways, creation and deletion of programs, grants, and/or services as required.
  • Responsible for the on-going workflow process of MyCap system.
  • Completes item level set up within MyCap based on change requests.
  • Maintain or Develop reporting tools to track agency, program and user specific services being provided.
  • Perform basic administrative support as necessary to support utilization of MyCap system.
  • Make minor decisions based on knowledge of work performed and department/organizational policies and procedures.

C. Other Duties:

  • Pursue educational opportunities and training that further professional development.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Must comply with NEKCA policies if hired.
  • Staff will be required to authorize and pass NEKCA’s criminal record check process
  • Staff is required to be completely vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to starting position
  • High school diploma/ equivalent or hirer BA in related program preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience in group facilitation and training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and database management systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based application suites, preferably Microsoft Office 365 in a PC environment. Demonstrated experience in administration of Microsoft Office 365 workloads.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the challenges faced by low-income individuals seeking to become economically self-sufficient.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the agency, work as part of a team, and under direction.
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends (as needed).
