Irrigation Technician Job at Lynch Landscape & Tree & Leahy Landscaping
Description
The Irrigation Tech is responsible for a variety of irrigation related tasks such as but not limited to: Monitoring and testing new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems. Observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups. Winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system. Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems. Program and maintain controllers. Manage both public water and well-driven systems. Train new crew to use equipment and apply best practices to create a successful outcome.
Requirements
Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's License.
Ability to create and read site map colored charts/legends.
Snow season is a requirement for this position.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Environment:
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat
