Investment Associate Job at Tandym Group
An asset management firm in Connecticut is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Investment Associate
Responsibilities:
The Investment Associate will:
- Assist in developing and executing the origination strategy to maximize deal flow
- Establish and maintain relationships with restructuring firms, restructuring departments of investment banks, bankruptcy attorneys and other intermediaries and organizations in the distressed space
- Provide financial evaluation of project investment opportunities and prepare preliminary due diligence reports
- Provide ongoing monitoring of assets with the firm’s portfolios including review of monthly operating results and maintaining project performance
- Provide initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities for the firm as well as tracking of the firm’s investment pipeline
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Public Accounting Assurance and Transaction Services experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
- Familiarity with the key principles of Private Equity and Venture Capital
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- CPA or parts passed
