SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Specialist ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. The Inventory Control Manager will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the inventory cycle. The role will receive inventory, fulfill and ship orders, test products for readiness, and help maintain the warehouse to meet organizational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Overall responsibility for inventory management: incoming, outgoing, and projections.
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systems.
  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and overseeing security operations.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Communicates with the Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Assisting with deliveries where required.
  • Operates forklift as needed.
  • Maintaining awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic excel knowledge.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Forklift Certification.


Preferred Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Netsuite experience is a huge plus, but not required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The usual work environment is typical of a warehouse environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with no material or weather-related hazards except those associated with travel.
