Intervention Specialist

Today we are a leader in the youth development field and serve more than 5,000 youth every year through four key programs.

Before and After School Programs available in elementary schools in Anchorage and Eagle River. Programs run from 7-9am and again from 3:30-6pm, Monday through Friday.
Open Position:

Intervention Specialist: Work between 35 to 37.5 hours (average) at $15.94 per hour supervising youth at Camp Fire Alaska’s School Age and Centers Programs and deliver quality youth development through academic and behavioral support. This position is a partnership with the Anchorage School District.
Qualifications –
Minimum age 18
Ability to transport self to work (multiple sites) and the Camp Fire office preferred
Minimum one (1) year experience working successfully with children in group setting; training or experience in youth development, education, or recreation preferred
Experience tutoring, teaching, or assisting youth with academic supports strongly preferred

REQUIREMENTS: * that can be acquired after hire with agreed upon time schedule
Ability to obtain Current Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid certification from a nationally recognized provider, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire. (Camp Fire provides classes and paid training time)
Ability to obtain Food Worker Card OR the ability to obtain within 5 days of hire;
Ability to obtain State of Alaska's Office of Children's Services online Mandated Reporter training certificate OR ability to obtain on-the-job within 5 days of hire;
Approved Health & Safety certificate OR ability to obtain on-the-job within 5 days of hire.
