Koch Capabilities, LLC, is seeking a motivated, self-driven and experienced Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our International Trade Compliance team in Wichita, KS. This role will support exciting business expansion globally across multiple product lines and will be part of an integrated team supporting multiple Koch companies. This Analyst will become part of the broader Koch Companies knowledge network and will have the opportunity to leverage knowledge from across the broader Koch Compliance and Legal organizations, as well as external resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for import and export reporting. The role will interact directly with the business operations team and customs brokers to ensure import and export cargoes move efficiently and compliantly in and out of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico for Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, Koch Minerals & Trading, and Guardian Industries. In addition, the Analyst will be responsible for learning and understanding regulatory requirements and ensuring registration and report submittals comply with those requirements. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with international trade and customs compliance regulations.

The role is focused on customs compliance, however responsibilities of this role may vary based on the experience level of the candidate. The preferred location for this role is Wichita, KS.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Prepare and submit import/export filings and compliance reports completely, timely, and accurately
• Learn and understand applicable rules and regulations, particularly in regard to importing and exporting
• Analyze impact of regulatory or business changes relevant to international activity and provide recommendation on process implementation
• Actively engage with other Compliance team members to discuss and challenge regulatory interpretations
• Manage relationships with customs brokers
• Create, maintain, streamline, and document processes for regulatory registration and reporting requirements
• Anticipate and identify potential issues; then effectively and assertively implement solutions
• Leverage technology to establish and maintain data-driven performance metrics and reporting for trade compliance

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Previous experience in transactional import/export compliance, international logistics (multimodal) or relevant compliance experience within a global/business environment
• Experience communicating and collaborating across all levels of the organization
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools
• Experience managing multiple priorities from various customer groups with strong attention to detail
• Skilled at analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving
• High School Diploma or GED

What Will Put You Ahead

• Strong knowledge of customs regimes such as harmonized tariff schedules, customs valuations, product markings, rules of origin, free trade agreements, and reconciliation programs.
• Experience in commodities trading and trading fundamentals
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
