Internal Controls Expert

Seattle, WA/Remote

Camber Consulting LLC is hiring multiple employees to serve our various clients in need of internal controls compliance program management expertise. Our clients need experts with deep knowledge of the requirements of complying with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), anti-bribery, PCI, and other regulators’ operational and information technology (IT) requirements. We are looking for resources to oversee compliance programs, assess risk, identify, document and test controls, manage audit relationships, and other functions necessary to ensure a successful compliance program.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a program exists to sufficiently comply with regulatory requirements where program assesses risk, controls are properly documented and tested, deficiencies are identified and remediated in a timely manner, and other functions necessary are completed to ensure a successful compliance program.
  • Manage internal and external audit relationships relating to the compliance program.
  • Supervise other professionals and coordinate with other groups within the organization.

Required skills / capabilities:

  • At least seven years in the accounting or audit profession with increasing responsibility.
  • At least three years of experience with key responsibility for complying with complex regulatory requirements such as SOX, PCI, etc.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including control descriptions, process flows, testing and report writing.
  • Effective communication and cross-group collaboration skills.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related degree required.
  • Public accounting experience and CPA preferred.

Term/Rate:

This role is full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) but temporary in nature and expected to last three to nine months with possible extensions.

Rate: $80 – $110 per hour, depending on experience and project.

Pay: $80.00 - $110.00 per hour
