Intake Coordinator - Third Shift Job at Forest View Hospital
Responsibilities
The Intake Coordinator receives intake calls and unplanned individual/family walk-ins with compassion, empathy, a sense of service and urgency, and to insure each person receives an appropriate assessment. Thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other intake-related paperwork is a critical component of the job.
- Communicates with individuals, families, or support persons ways to access mental health treatment for their loved one in a caring, compassionate manner.
- Schedule face to face assessment screens for appropriate services.
- Coordinates efforts to ensure timely response to all referrals.
- Facilitates admissions, including required pre-authorization and insurance verification.
- Follow through on all intake calls. This will include arranging inpatient or PHP admission, suggest, schedule and conduct assessments, outpatient and community referrals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services field.
- Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience preferred.
