USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio is seeking a motivated Insurance Verifier to join our team. Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio the preferred facility for surgery in San Antonio. We boast state-of-the-art technology, the top surgeons and healthcare staff in our community. Job Summary: The Insurance verifier will interface with patients and families, physicians and staff, update patient demographics/information in system, verify insurance benefits, obtain proper authorization from insurance carrier prior to the procedure. Determine what funds to collect upon admission. Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system. Other duties as required or requested by chain of command.

Qualifications:
High school graduate
Minimum two years’ hospital insurance verification, prior authorization and billing experience required.
Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
Good communication skills.
Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred.

If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
