This organization is currently seeking two friendly and dedicated Insurance Verification Specialists to join their team!

Job Summary for the Insurance Verification Specialist

Responsible for accurate and complete insurance verification, authorization, and complete pre-registration of all scheduled clinic visits and office-based procedures. Work within the EMR using an automated insurance verification tool along with payor websites and documents within the EMR.

Responsibilities of the Insurance Verification Specialist

  • Obtain insurance verification and benefits using an automated verification tool, insurance carrier websites, or by phone
  • Prepare an estimate for scheduled service and notify the patient or guarantor of any applicable out of pocket and request payment if applicable
  • Accurately document all information in the appropriate fields and/or account notes
  • Obtain all necessary authorizations for scheduled clinic visits and office-based procedures and accurately document all information in the appropriate fields and/or account notes
  • Organize, prioritize and review daily work activity to ensure completion of assigned workload
  • Courteously answer phone calls and emails and answer all questions in a timely manner
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with patients and guarantors, insurance companies, clinical personnel, co-workers, and management to promote teamwork, cooperation, and a positive public image for the Company
  • Participate in a variety of facility educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as requested

Required Qualifications of the Insurance Verification Specialist

  • 1+ years of recent medical insurance verification experience required
  • Dental and / or orthodontics experience required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen

Compensation and Schedule for the Insurance Verification Specialist

Insurance Verification Specialist – Full-time, remote after training, $19-$21 per hour, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm OR 8:30am to 5:00pm. Year-end bonus and monthly incentive bonuses up to $250!
