Currently, we're in search of a highly motivated Full-time Insurance & Billing Specialist. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic, be a team player and possess the ability to multitask
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Dental Insurance & Billing Specialist performs a variety of tasks and duties including, but not limited to:
- Communicate necessary information to assist patients with their dental insurance and their ledger/account
- Read Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and Post payments accurately
- Assist with financial arrangement for unpaid patient balances
- Able to coordinate and understand financial arrangements for patient account
- Review and audit Dental Claims
- Track errors and work with providers to get corrected and sent
- Send claims and pre-estimates for patients
- Assist Treatment Coordinators including but not limited to: Insurance verifications, pre estimates, research patient billing concerns, and other insurance issues
- Remain up-to-date on daily, weekly, and monthly reports
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- *Must have at least 1-3 years of dental insurance billing experience*
- Basic computer functions
- Must have excellent communication skills
PREFERRED QUALITIES
- Dental terminology
- Dentrix experience is a plus
- How health maintenance organization (HMO) and preferred provider organization (PPO) dental insurance plans operate
