Instructional Assistant (Kindergarten Classroom) Job at Kingdom East Unified Union School District
The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant (IA) to work at the Sutton Village School, in their Early Childhood Program. Under the direction of the building administrator and the Director of Student Services, this position supports our youngest students in preschool and students ages 3 to 8 years old.The preferred candidate will have experience providing care and support to children for growth and learning academic and social skills. This position requires strong teaming skills, flexibility and a willingness to assist in developing a classroom environment that makes strong connections and relationships with children.A background check and fingerprinting will be required upon employment. Candidates must successfully complete the ParaPro assessment or have an associates or higher degree.
Candidates must successfully complete required early childhood staff licensing requirements.Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have choice and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.We are located about 3 hours from Boston, Montreal and Portland, ME.
Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities. We are close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. Both Littleton, NH and St. Johnsbury, VT have numerous fine and performing arts venues.
