At a Glance! The Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 1 is responsible for performing instructional, classroom, office, and navigational support services related to Basic Education for Adults programming for students in the evening in the Transitional Studies Office.

The Instruction Support Tech will work 75 hours or less per month. The typical scheduled work hours will be between 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and limited to 75 hours per month, 19 hours per week on average. During training hours will take place between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline customer service
  • Assist with the intake process
  • Administer CASAS appraisals, pre-tests and post-tests
  • Maintain paper and electronic records
  • Prepare data-driven reports
  • Prepare and deliver orientations and presentations
  • Answering Telephones
  • Other duties as assigned

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with Google Suite and similar programs
  • Ability to work with diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree
  • Tutoring experience
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
