Responsibilities:

As an integral member of the Loan Operations Department, this position is mainly responsible for coordinating all activities related to installment loan payouts.


Essential Duties:

  • Verify the closed status of loans on daily reports. Ensure proper clearing of check before release of collateral/documents
  • Prepare discharges on paid loan files
  • Prepare and distribute payoff letters to attorneys, branches and other financial institutions
  • Respond to calls from dealerships requesting substitute lien releases
  • Return paid note to customer and prepare paid installment loan files for retention
  • Terminate electronic lien filings through FDI and UCC Direct as loans payoff
  • Prepare substitute lien releases for vehicles after ensuring collateral is not security on any other loan
  • Daily contact with customers, dealers, attorneys, and bank officers by phone and/or letters
  • Cooperate with other members of the department to achieve departmental goals
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion

Ancillary Duties:

Provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Loan Operations Department and the bank in achieving their annual goals.
Qualifications:

Education/Training:
Associates degree in business-related field or equivalent in relative work experience preferred; high school diploma or GED required

Skills:
Strong attention to detail as well as proven organizational and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints. Strong PC skills. Requires knowledge of titles and liens.

Experience:
Prefer at least two (2) years’ of general banking experience or equivalent
Other Job Information:
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:15-5:00; overtime as required
