Job Title: Installation Manager
Location: Longview Cable Television Company, Inc.

Reports to: Plant Manager

Job Summary:
This position reports to the plant manager and must be knowledgeable in the operations
and maintenance of the cable system. Duties include supervision over installers, quality
control, and moderate preventive maintenance on the cable system dealing with
installation (residential and commercial), some service work with customer trouble calls
and the necessary record keeping. He/she should be knowledgeable of installation
construction techniques and equipment and must be able to perform all installation
duties. He/she must be knowledgeable of all available services and programming.

Job Duties:
Primary Duty: The training and quality control of installers and their work. Follow-up
quality control audits are mandatory and will be reported to the plant manager on a
weekly basis.


Should be knowledgeable about installation construction techniques and equipment. 

Should be knowledgeable and able to perform any duty described under the
installer’s and service technician’s description. 

Answering customer questions about pricing, program content and cable TV
technology. 

Maintain a professional appearance and vehicle appearance. 

Report emergencies so that proper authorities can be notified. 

Should be able to perform a moderate level of the company’s defined method of
preventive maintenance in regards to commercial and residential installation and all
record-keeping associated with it. 

Report any customer service and employee issues, problems, improprieties or
recommendations to the General Manager or Plant Manager in order to maintain the
integrity and performance of the operation. 

Audit and review the quality and integrity of work performed by contract labor
installers. 

Hire candidates for installation positions and terminate current installers/techs due
to not performing duties outlined in the installer’s job description. 

Administer training to new hires. 

Manage time clock system to ensure employees are adhering to policies. 

Measure production of installers using the workforce software. 

Maintain proper vehicle / tool /ladder inspections. 

Perform serviceability site surveys to determine if an address is serviceable with our
company policies.

Other:
Successful candidate must pass random drug screenings and have a good driving
record throughout employment. The candidate must be willing to establish residence
within boundaries of the Longview Cable TV system. The candidate must be willing to be
contacted by cell phone and receive calls at home as necessary to conduct system
related business.

Job Specifications:
Education: High School Graduate or GED, Preferred completion of the NCTI curriculum
for installer.

Experience:
Cable TV Technology, Operation with, and prior experience in customer service.

Knowledge: Cable TV Principals and Technologies of the Cable TV plant. Expertise in
all knowledge defined in the Installer’s and service technician's knowledge section of
his/her job description.
