To perform a variety of routine duties required to receive, unload, and support shipment of a variety of materials. To perform receiving/shipping inspections used primarily for identification, condition, type, packaging, quantity, etc. and limited dimensional and testing where specified. Perform a variety of inspection/audit operations of materials, equipment, and hardware ranging from raw stock and detail components to completed assemblies being received from suppliers or shipped from the company. Perform inspection and verification in accordance with Inspection Instructions, Request for Shipment (RFS), drawings, specification, Quality Procedures or other Customer or Company documents, as applicable. Route items requiring specialized inspections and tests to designated areas and verify completion and acceptance is achieved. Perform general and periodic surveillance inspection requirements of warehousing, shipping, and associated storage areas. Handle, utilize, maintain, and store inspection equipment in a manner to prevent damage, abuse, or neglect and to maintain its serviceability. Occasionally, operate lifting and loading equipment. May be required to handle explosives and hazardous materials. Originate and maintain required records and logs. Requires a basic knowledge of material handling methods and receiving practices and procedures together with the use of arithmetic to receive a variety of items. Requires the use of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and its application to the reading of blueprints. Some knowledge of inspection procedures and methods required to inspect a variety of parts. Keep own work area clean and orderly.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Equivalent to four (4) years high school.

Experience: Six (6) to twelve (12) months of Quality Inspection experience required.
Desired Skills:
Previous receiving and shipping inspection experience.
Experience with handheld measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparators, etc.)
SAP experience
