Our company is looking to hire a Manager for their Shafter location. The Manager is responsible for managing all aspect of daily operations for manufacturing. The manger must plan, organize, direct, or coordinate workflow as well as ensure the efficiency and productivity of the location operations. Shop operations includes managing production and final inspections. The manager must be able to perform office administrative work such as reporting employee time sheets, turning in documentations, conduct Worker’s Compensation investigations, able to use email as a form of communication and operate certain computer programs, Outlooks, Excel, and Word. In addition to this, the Manager must be able to motivate, counsel, train and delegate subordinates and employees. The Manager must have a good grasp of implementing Safety and Regulatory procedures by enforcing existing policies in the shop. Past work experience as a MIG welder is also a must.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment This job operates in a production environment. Includes exposure to sounds and noise level that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires working in a very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) temperatures. Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people.

Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically. Requires walking, standing, squatting, bending, climbing, kneeling, crawling, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, repetitive movement, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, 40+ hours a week. Days are Monday through Fridays.

Travel Travel may be required for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• Must have experience supervising 10-20 employees.
• Must have experience in truck body manufacturing.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Must be able to MIG weld.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 2 plus years of manufacturing management experience
• N/A

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, and physical.
• Must pass basic math test
