DESCRIPTION: Mr. Chips, Inc., a leading global supplier of pickles and pepper products is recruiting for an Industrial Maintenance Technician at its Macon, GA operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing maintenance of equipment as needed or scheduled as part of the master maintenance program.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with industrial plant equipment.
• Follow's GMP's and company procedures prior to, while executing and upon completion of the maintenance functions and ensuring equipment is properly cleaned prior to release for use.
• Follows company safety procedures at all times.
• Complete required work orders of repairs and service information.
• Calibrate equipment to provided specifications.
• Guide staff and/or production employees if equipment is not being used properly.
• Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs.
• Follows proper documentation process of any/all maintenance events.
• Maintaining records and logs.
• Observing equipment/machines while in operational mode to detect malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on current machines with the ability to assist in installation in newer equipment/machines.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Knowledge in industrial, food production preferred
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have the ability to work in cross functional situations
• Working in different conditions that include exposure to odors, magnets, metal detectors and wet conditions.
• Must be able to climb, bend, walk, and lift objects (heavy)
• Regular attendance is necessary for the position with the ability to work overtime if required.
