SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to maintain all manufacturing equipment, utility systems, and the physical plant. This position is responsible for supervising a crew across three shifts and will manage all necessary repairs to allow optimal performance of our manufacturing systems. In addition, this position will support installation of new manufacturing equipment, coordinate the efforts of various contractors for specialty services, and research technology to enhance the performance of existing manufacturing systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, schedule and assign tasks in support of manufacturing and the facility
  • Assure crew works in compliance with all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines
  • Develop and schedule all Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Evaluate and train crew for skills development
  • Work closely with Engineering and EH&S for ongoing efforts to promote safety, protect the environment, and improve manufacturing capabilities.
  • Coordinate utility repairs and scheduled plant shutdowns
  • Report monthly on work in progress and recommendations for improvements
  • Create and maintain current operating procedures and policies

Additional Skills

  • Ability to interpret and apply the National Electric Code
  • Electrical experience with 480 Volt, 3 phase power
  • Control power experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulics, pneumatics, dust collection systems and power trains.
  • Working experience with Environmental Health and Safety policies
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong communication skills: strong written, interpersonal, verbal and listening skills
  • Strong organizational, leadership and planning skills
  • Solid computer proficiency
  • PLC, logic control knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of proactive maintenance technologies preferred
  • Software experience with Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and MP2 preferred
  • Working knowledge of Confined Space Entry and Lockout/Tagout procedures preferred
  • Working knowledge of Arc Flash Compliance

Education and/or Experience

The incumbent of this position must possess High school education or equivalent with Engineering or Vocational/Trades Training required plus five years of related industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and training. Technical or College level Electrical/Engineering Degree or Skilled Trade Journeyman, with emphasis in electrical applications desired.
