We are seeking cycling instructors, fitness enthusiasts and music lovers to audition to be an Indoor Cycling Instructor for our new studio in Rancho Mirage.

To audition, you will prepare a cycling routine, covering two songs, no longer than 8 minutes total. One song must be a jog out of the saddle, in entirety, within the 80-90 rpm range. The other song is personal choice and may be done in or out of the saddle. Please come prepared to teach both songs back to back with no break. The audition is in person, and you will bring a device to play your music from (Phone, Tablet, etc) and be prepared to coach into a microphone. Auditions will be held in our YogaSix Palm Desert location on Saturday, July 30th, and Sunday, August 14th in the afternoon. Supporting materials and additional guidance will be provided upon completion of the job application.

Successful auditions will lead to an invitation to the CycleBar Bootcamp, a 5 week (~30 hour) FREE training course that ends with a CycleBar Instructor Certification. The Bootcamp will begin in early September. This education course teaches you not only how to be a cycling instructor (core fundamentals of the job), it also teaches you specific formats of classes that you will use if teaching at a CycleBar location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Methodology & Teaching
  • Teach indoor cycling classes, pursuant to Company standards.
  • Have a strong understanding of CycleBar core formats, as well as distinguishing features between formats.
  • Participate with the Lead Instructor in class audits and reviews to ensure compliance with Company standards.
  • Connect with each member and create a class experience that shows individual personality.
  • Create playlists following our 12-song sequence to perform in your scheduled classes.
  • Make sure all new riders are introduced to the bike and are correctly adjusted on their bike.

• Community Building & Teamwork
  • Be present physically and mentally for the pre- and post-class connections with members.
  • Be a team player, and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers.
• Brand Ambassador & Sales
  • Adhere to CycleBar Core Values and uphold the Core Values with all Team Members.
  • Assist the General Manager and sales team in answering prospective member questions and closing sales.
  • Promote your classes on social media at least 3 times per week.
• Studio Operations
  • Attend staff meetings and required education presentations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe club during shifts by assisting with cleaning tasks as directed by General Manager or Company policies.
• Follow all procedures established by the Company to operate the studio in accordance with government health directives and guidelines.
• Assist General Manager and Front Desk staff as needed.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude; promote and exemplify Company values, and represent Company objectives and interests to internal and external customers.
• Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education and/or Experience
  • Must have passion for health, wellness and fitness.
  • Must be able to pass the audition and CycleBar Bootcamp training program in order to teach at CycleBar.
  • Interest in evolving skills as an instructor.
• Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
  • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, and via email.
  • Spanish language skills are also desirable.
  • Professional, punctual, reliable and neat.
  • Able to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public.
  • Able to stay calm at all times and act respectfully and professionally, even with customers who may become angry or raise their voices.
• Other Required Licenses/Certifications
