Job Description


Our distribution business is experiencing transformative growth—with no end in sight.
That’s why we’re looking for an Inbound Supervisor for one of our satellite warehouses in Midway, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day inbound operations within our fully automated conveyor system. Responsibilities include meeting inbound SLA’s staffing, training, safety, continuous improvements, and loss prevention. In addition, you will ensure excellent service levels to both internal and external customers. This role will report to our Inbound Manager.

A day at the warehouse looks like this:

  • Planning and monitoring daily labor needs based on immediate and forecasted order and unit volumes
  • Creating and implementing standards and metrics for the team
  • Understanding the goals for the day and providing motivation to ensure they are met accurately and efficiently, while also encouraging teamwork and obtaining a high level of associate morale and recognition
  • Ensuring our inbound requirements are met on a daily basis.
  • Working with the leadership team to effectively communicate achievements and challenges throughout the day
  • Complying with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling and receiving requirements, and enforcing safety policies and techniques
  • Ensuring the organization and physical appearance of the inbound Department are in good standing order
  • Developing employee performance by appraising, coaching and counseling
  • Developing ongoing process improvements for all order processing associates to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of leadership and performance management required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with inbound operations required
  • Ability to build a high-performance/engaged work environment
  • Results-oriented high achiever who strives for maximum service levels
  • Ability to problem-solve while keeping the needs of the customer and company in mind
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to lead a crew while supporting rules, regulations and standards
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
  • Outstanding time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks for the most efficient use of time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility, dependability and disciplined professionalism
