ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze test samples utilizing ICP-MS and ICP-OES instrumentation.

• Perform daily maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments included in Daily Operations

• May assist in overseeing work conducted by Lab technician or assistants.

• May assist in troubleshooting out of specification test results.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a BS in chemistry or equivalent.

• Experience performing analytical or chemical testing on pharmaceutical, cosmetic, nutritional, raw materials, water samples, bulk samples & finished products.

• Knowledge of current USP, CTFA/PCPC, AOAC, CPSC, EPA, ASTM, and other industry standard methods and procedures.

• Must be familiar with ICP-MS and ICP-OES instrumentation and other chemical equipment, techniques and programs required for pharmaceutical, nutritional and cosmetic product assays/tests.

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with ICP instrumentation. 3+ years of experience is preferred.

• Computer literate. Be able to work with Microsoft programs such as word and excel, ability to utilize search engines, and create spreadsheets, etc.

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to adapt to changes to improve company process.
