Job Overview:

The primary function of the HVAC Climate Control Technician is to install, repair and maintain portable heating, air conditioning and dehumidifying equipment. This is a non-exempt position. 40+ hours weekly and paid on-call rotation.

Essential Job Functions:

• Adequate knowledge of electrical circuits, controls and equipment
• Typical HVAC-R hand tools and drills will be provided
• Good communitive skills and coordination with authority, other contractors and clients
• Enforce and apply pertaining work is being done in compliance with company protocol
• Detailed safety and incident reports and applying those procedures as required
• Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents
• Work extended hours when required for scheduling and/or job completion
• Work in varying weather conditions when required
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Follow company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Able to handle high stress situations and make quick decisions if needed
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Able to lift 80 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder
• Handle exposure to dust, fumes, heights and high noise levels
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner with consideration to others on-site
• Perform duties as assigned to fulfilment and complete work relating data on company WO software
• Available to be on a paid rotating on-call schedule

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Mechanically inclined
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and 7-year background check
