Position Overview:

Performs Human Resources related duties and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, staffing, affirmative action, labor relations, and employment equity programs. This is a multi-facetted position that combines strategic planning, administrative functions, and specialized individual projects to meet the demands of the department.

This position is located in our main HR office in Chappaqua, NY and one of our offices in New York City.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists management with performance concerns and disciplinary action.

• Assists in handling investigations, claims of sexual harassment, workplace violence, compliance, policy violations and other serious allegations.

• Assists with employee relations complaints and counseling.
• Acts as the liaison between employees and management.
• Consult and advise management to ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements.

• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

• Record performance and disciplinary issues working with management

Qualifications and Education:

• 3-5 years business experience with a Human Resource department
• Previous experience working with Employee Relations
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and handle many tasks simultaneously.

• Competency in all Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to interact effectively with a variety of personalities.
• Proven discretion in handling confidential information.
• BA in Human Resource, Psychology, Business or related field.

• PHR/SPHR/SHRM Preferred
