We are seeking to hire an experienced administrative professional with experience in Human Resources for a Human Resources Department Assistant position to work in our Forest Hill, Maryland corporate headquarters. The primary responsibilities of the Human Resources Department Assistant involve assisting the Human Resources Department with daily administrative tasks. General Human Resources Duties

  • Support departmental goals; new hire benefits and open enrollment, life event changes, wellness initiatives, COBRA Qualifying Events, ACA reporting, carrier invoice reconciliation, EEOC Reporting, Medical Support Orders, Awards and Recognition Programs.
  • Assist Director of Human Resources with administrative duties related to FMLA/LOA and workers compensation.
  • Serve as a back-up for administrative duties of HR Department staff.

Payroll Support Duties

  • Assist with ADP Time & Attendance administration.
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing as needed; timecard review.

Requirements:

  • 2 plus years’ experience in a professional setting handling administrative duties required
  • Hands-on experience handling Human Resources related duties a big plus.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Time management skills w/ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships, composed under pressure always maintaining a professional demeanor.
