Basic Function

This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).


Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the incumbent in this position performs professional level service providing technical and analytical advice, full-cycle recruitments, guidance and support in employment, classification, compensation, employee labor relations, and assist with benefits, unemployment compensation, worker’s compensation, and other human resources functions.

The Human Resources Department is a small three-person run department and we are adding an Human Resources Analyst to the team. This position will require knowledge in various areas (per the job description link below), and first-hand experience in full-cycle recruiting, candidate sourcing, and onboarding. The position will assist the HR Director with salary surveys and job audits and act as the backup to the Senior Human Resources Analyst, as needed.

Representative Duties

  • Manage and coordinate recruitment and selection process and programs including conducting intake assessments; partner with hiring managers to review job descriptions and requirements; prepare and advertise job announcements, complete card sorts as needed; candidate assessment; create and prepare examinations, including written tests, phone screens, practical exams, and interview questions; serve on interview panels or coordinate panels as necessary; screen and score applications. Lead candidate selection and provide support and guidance. E
  • Coordinate tuition reimbursement requests. Monitor tuition reimbursement budget. Respond to requests from employees regarding the tuition reimbursement program. Ensure eligibility criteria are met. Process reimbursements to employees in accordance with policies, procedures, and Tuition Reimbursement Committee’s direction. E
  • Advise departments concerning recruitments, job audits, tuition reimbursement, and employee training and development. E
  • Complete job audits in accordance with the existing policy and procedure. E
  • Reliable and dependable attendance.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, human resources management, or related field and;
  • Three years of increasingly responsible professional experience in Human Resources administration, Talent Acquisition, Classification/Compensation studies, or related field; or
  • A combination of education, training and experience that provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.

Licenses and Other Requirements

  • Valid Washington State driver's license
  • A three-year driving record abstract must be submitted prior to hire.
