As a Human Resource Representative with Manitowoc Cranes you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the local business unit in all facets of Human Resources including Recruitment, Compensation and Benefit Administration, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Talent Management, Safety and Compliance.

This position reports to Director, Human Resources and is located in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Salary Recruitment - assist with job description and initiate requisition, assist with site visit/interviews and coordinate onboarding & orientation
  • Hourly Recruitment - initiate and post requisition, screen candidates, schedule and coordinate interviews, initiate background checks, onboarding & orientation
  • Compensation - Annual salary planning, mid-year and on-going market adjustments, hourly increases, bi-weekly payroll.
  • Benefits - administer open enrollment process for the business unit, address employee questions, assist with audits and communications
  • Talent Management - Coordinate performance review process, conduct various training as needed, and assist managers with employee development.
  • Terminations/Promotions - assist managers with the process ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
  • Compliance - ensure compliance of all federal, state and corporate law & polices including maintaining files, records and postings
  • Communication - Assist with various employee meetings, submit information for quarterly newsletter, publish various memos, etc. via bulletin boards, CNN, etc. to keep employees informed. Coordinate various employee surveys and assist with audits as required.
  • Employee Relations - active involvement with employee relations including day to day problem resolution; policy development and enforcement & communication; serve dual role as employee advocate and management counsel
  • Safety - actively participate in safety programs and activities including audits, accident investigation and training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources required with minimum 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment preferred OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 11 years same experience.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations required.
  • This position will be located in a normal office environment with exposure to the manufacturing shop floor as required.

Domestic travel to multiple business unit sites may be required on occasion.
