Job Summary:


The HSE Air Specialist primary responsibility is to support the Midland Northwest area in maintaining compliance with Local, State and Federal Air Regulations.
Job Duties:
  • Oversee air quality compliance new development projects and work with Corporate Compliance department to establish a compliance framework for continuous compliance for existing facilities.
  • Manage corporate tracking program for air quality compliance related to state permits, federal regulations and air emission events. Work with assets to ensure program usage and compliance.
  • Draft and maintain compliance protocols related to air permits that includes but not limited to monitoring, testing, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with Pioneer air permit staff to efficiently and effectively secure required project permits.
  • Effectively communicate with field operations on the environmental compliance requirements subject to their facilities and assist with the field implementations and continued compliance in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Will be required to be in the field 20-25% of time
  • Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years ESH experience, prefer Environmental experience.
  • Prefer 5 – 6 years Environmental or O&G Experience, prefer experience in environmental operations role
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
  • Prefer previous Air experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) highly desired
  • Certificates in HazWOPER, TANKS 4.09d, E&P Tanks, PROMAX or Dispersion Modeling preferred.
  • Should have good understanding of state permits (PBR, Standard Permit, Non-Rule Permit) and associated compliance requirements. In addition, should have knowledge of federal regulations such as NSPS JJJJ, NESHAP ZZZZ, and NSPS OOOO.
  • Outstanding interpersonal verbal and written skills preferred, to establish trust and build relationships with field operations and regulatory agencies.
