Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Manager of HR Operations assists Human Resources in achieving its overall vision by supporting the Team Member experience through service delivery and related project execution. The person in this role is a "manager doer" who is both strategic and tactical, a trusted partner with a continuous improvement mindset who will shape culture, support business strategy, and develop the talent needed to make a remarkable impact. The role will carry out responsibilities in the areas of customer service, issue resolution, HR technology, project management, compliance, policy implementation, and process improvement with a focus on building operational repeatability. The HR Operations Manager will target operational efficiencies and activities and facilitate innovative solutions to operational challenges, building optimizations at scale.

The person in this role will ensure the HR operational engine works towards achieving an excellent team member experience and builds and implements the frameworks and processes that support HR's evolution, including identifying meaningful metrics, assessing value and identifying actionable insights to drive continuous improvement. This role will assist HR to create, deliver, and track value for users, HR leaders, and GEDC Operations and produce related substantiation through established KPI and SLA reporting and data analysis. It will also lead and support project-related change management.

E ssential Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages day-to-day operations and planning of the HR Operations function, including standardizing HR processes, systems functionality, and technology solutions; ensures processes are consistently, effectively, and efficiently administered in accordance with company policy/guidelines

Ensures the system, processes and tools are in place for service delivery and are performing according to plan for the effective delivery of HR programs and services

Support the build out of a reporting strategy that provides digestible business insights to support business decisions

Executes HR related tasks during an acquisition and ensures the transition to GEDC is seamless and non-disruptive to acquired team members

Formulates, organizes, and monitors the interconnected HR Operations resources to achieve continuous service delivery goals

Support and administer annual program processing, including executing annual merit and performance management cycles

Act as point of contact for escalated inquires, requiring a high-level knowledge of HR processes and ensure compliance and alignment with company policies and procedures

Collaborate on the design of HR metrics, KPIs and SLAs for HR Operations team

Build reporting and analytics capabilities; regularly report on performance metrics and insights to key stakeholders

Audit and review HR transactions relating to the employee lifecycle to identify opportunities for targeted communications, automation, or process optimization

Support the development of a process for obtaining feedback, synthesizing with performance metrics, analyzing and identifying the highest-impact opportunities for improvement across service areas

Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners across HR

Collaborates with HR peers to show up as ONE-HR, to develop and deliver processes and services which will provide value to the organization

Develops guidelines, processes, and procedures for HR Operations teams and creates and maintains standard work documentation for HR Operations

Supports project-related change management

Ensures HR operational processes stay current with local, state, and national regulations (in collaboration with counsel) and addresses any non-compliance matters in a timely and effective manner

Provides open and honest performance feedback to direct reports and takes appropriate action to improve performance where necessary; provide collaborative motivational and performance support

Oversees and leverages vendor relationships and keeps updated on trends

Assists with other projects and duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree preferred - Human Resource Management or MBA preferred
  • 7 - 10 years' experience, or combination of education and experience - HR service delivery experience
  • Substantial project management and proven experience in operational excellence
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated experience working across organizations that require high levels of influence, relationship-building, and agility to secure necessary support for HR initiatives
  • Expertise identifying and using metrics to measure, advise and influence
  • Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency assessing, revising, harmonizing and writing policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • High level of energy, self-confidence, and enthusiasm; collaborative and open working style with a constructive and positive demeanor
  • Successful record of managing multiple tasks requiring high level of detail orientation
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and ability to convert ideas into solutions
  • Strong computer skills including report building and data analysis
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt rapidly to change
