Promote the effective and efficient utilization of personnel by overseeing all aspects of HR to included the HR Administration, Policy/Procedure, Compliance, HR Talent Sourcing and HR Recruiting as well as advising upper management on tactical and strategic organizational objectives. Fords HR Manager will oversee multiple teams with responsibilities such as assisting with performance reviews, employee relations, employee development, and off-boarding. The HR manager will also oversee teams responsible for the continuous flow of candidates and recruits for quality candidates based on company needs.

The HR Manager will advise management and employees as to the proper interpretation of various personnel and managerial policies, procedures, and regulations. They will also provide recommendations on courses of action in handling employee problems and concerns to managers/supervisors with consideration of federal laws, state laws, and company policy.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and administer policies, procedures, and programs that relate to employee relations.
  • Serve as an advisor to management with regard to personnel administration issues and the effective and efficient utilization of human resources.
  • Provide management with an interpretation of federal and state labor laws as well as internal policies
  • Furnish recommendations on courses of action in handling employee problems and concerns to managers, and supervisors
  • Advise management and employees as to the proper interpretation of various personnel and managerial policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer the company’s compensation program through the employee review process.
  • Monitor a criteria-based performance evaluation system to ensure the fair and equitable treatment of employees based on actual employee performance;
  • Inform employees of personnel policies, procedures, and programs
  • Counsel employees on matters relating to their employment
  • Investigate causes of disputes and employee disciplinary problems; recommend follow-up action to management, including written warning, suspension, and discharge action in conjunction with established company policy (this is said with the understanding that the philosophy is that the individual supervisors and managers should handle their own employee disciplinary problems, but should involve the Employee Relations Manager in any serious matter)
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of the Human Resource Administrative, Sourcing, and Recruiting staff members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Related Field, or Equivalent Industry Experience
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR Certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 Years Personnel Experience In Human Resources or Employee Relations
  • Prior Management Experience
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Excellent Oral, Written, & Interpersonal Communication Skills
